Korean nail menus, decoded — 6 lines that change the price
Every line on a Korean nail menu has two numbers next to it. Knowing which number is yours is most of the skill.
Korean nail menus look simple until you notice the second column. Care 25,000 / 30,000. Gel off 10,000 / 20,000. Nobody explains which one applies to you, because to a Korean customer it's obvious.
The figures below are from the real menu of a nail salon listed on millio, as of August 2026 — in won, the way you'll see it on the wall.
- 01Two columns: natural nails and extensionsThe left number is for your own nails; the right is for nails that have been extended. Same service, more surface, more time — care is ₩25,000 natural and ₩30,000 on extensions, and every other line follows the same split.
- 02Removal is its own line, and it can double젤 오프 (gel off) is ₩10,000 on natural nails and ₩20,000 on extensions. Say it when you book. It is not folded into the design price anywhere.
- 03The design ladder is four rungs원컬러 (one colour) → 프렌치 (french) → 그라데이션 (gradient) → 글리터 (glitter), and the price climbs each step: ₩50,000 → ₩60,000 → ₩70,000 → ₩70,000 on natural nails at one listed salon. Glitter is usually quoted per ten nails (글리터 10개).
- 04케어 is not colour케어 (care) is shaping and cuticle work with no colour on top. If you want tidy nails before a wedding or a shoot and nothing else, this is the line you want — and it is the cheapest one on the menu.
- 05Feet are a separate menu, not a discount페디 (pedi) lines run alongside the hand lines and cost slightly more: care is ₩30,000 / ₩35,000 against ₩25,000 / ₩30,000 for hands. Book them as two services if you want both; they are two appointments' worth of time.
- 06Extensions are one price, and it's the big one연장 (extension) is quoted as a single service — ₩120,000 at that salon — and it is what puts you in the right-hand column for every visit after it. Worth knowing before, not after.
